The term BRICS, referring to the emerging countries Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, aroused interest of many investors. However, there are still few studies that evaluate evolution trade flows between Brazil especially with Russia. This study analyzed importance BRICS (Brazil, Africa) for Brazilian wood pulp segment's flow Russia from 1997 2016, comparing period before after formation BRICS.
